The first four years of the Desktop Linux Summit (DLS) were organized and
primarily sponsored by Linspire, Inc. Just prior to DLS 2006, Linspire was
approached by several other companies and organizations wishing to collaborate
on DLS and see future events managed by a broader group of key contributors and
influencers from the desktop Linux space. Based on this interest, Linspire
agreed to hold off on the 5th annual DLS and give this group time to come up
with their ideas and plans. At this time, no formal organization has been
formed nor have dates been set for future DLS events. Please stay tuned for
information on future DLS plans which will be posted here first.
